L.A.P.D. reject and major troublemaker Earl Montgomery (Martin Lawrence) got fellow cop Hank Rafferty (Steve Zahn) kicked off the force for brutality. Now, these two guys who can't stand each other are stuck working together as lowly security guards. They're unlikely partners, but they may just become the most unlikely heroes ever to wear a badge if they can stay one step ahead of the real cops, smash an elite smuggling ring and bring down a very bad bad guy.
