Russell Crowe stars as Lachlan, a dashing Australian pilot assigned to the Commonwealth Air Training Plan in the Canadian praries during WWII.There he meets Lili, a spirited, young, married woman. Like thousands of others, the circumstances of war bring them together to share a few precious moments of youth, laughter and love. Through this brief and sometimes reluctant love affair, Lachlan learns how to love and is taught how to kill in the shadows of an unpredictable world and its uncertain future.
