Singer/songwriter Taasha Coates is better known as the voice of multi ARIA Award winning folk-rock darlings The Audreys. However with The Audreys currently on temporary hiatus, Taasha has released her very first solo album titled - 'Taasha Coates & Her Melancholy Sweethearts.' Recorded with fellow singer-songwriter and producer Shane Nicholson, the well loved front woman has found a new voice through her solo material. More personal and direct and flirting more obviously with alt-country, the songs swing between the saucy and the sad, all the while held down by that truly terrific voice.
