The Golden Girl of Australian Country Music, Amber Lawrence, is about to break the mould once again, by releasing her very first children’s album. The album is a collection of 15 brand new original kids songs, written or co-written by Amber.

Amber is an award-winning singer-songwriter who created history in 2015 by taking out the CMAA Golden Guitar “Female Artist of the Year” and CMC “Oz Female Artist of the Year” awards, the first time an artist has won both in the same year, as well as picking up her consecutive 2016 CMC “Oz Female Artist of the Year” in March 2016.

The Kid's Gone Country, is Amber’s first children's concept album. Throughout her years as a recording artist, it has always been apparent that a large portion of Amber’s fan-base was made up of children. Amber has always loved having children attend her shows and has always had an underlying theme within her music that resonated with young people.

The Kid’s Gone Country album, takes this once step further. It’s aimed at children up to 9 years, influenced by Amber’s country music roots. The themes within the album include family, love, food, country life, Australia, acceptance and fun. Whilst there are educational elements included within the songs, the main aim in writing was to entertain kids and their families.

This album is poised to fill the demand for country music for young children, as well as providing enjoyment for parents and grandparents of young kids.

Amber is a very proud aunty of 3 little ones – who feature as backing vocalists on this album, and they are pretty much the first inspiration behind all the songs, as well as being the first to hear the songs. “If I have my nieces and nephew singing along I know the song is a keeper, if not, I head back to the drawing board and start again,” laughs Amber.

The tracks are bright, catchy and written with the best kids songwriters going including Allan Caswell, John Field, Clive Young and Troy Kinne.
