With a career in Electronic music spanning over 20 years, legendary German producer Paul Kalkbrenner is pleased to announce his 7th studio album, appropriately titled ‘7’. Whether breaking chart records, selling out arenas in Europe, starring in a movie or soundtracking Berlin’s electronic explosion, Paul Kalkbrenner has lived and breathed techno since growing up in the shadow of the Wall in East Berlin, where he continues to live today.

Signed via Columbia/Sony Music International, “7” sees Paul return to using vocals for the first time since his record-breaking anthem, “Sky & Sand”, while musically remaining as uncompromising as any of his previous albums. Kalkbrenner was the first artist to ever be given access to the master vaults and tapes of Sony and Columbia, where he had the chance to take samples from a huge collection of icons. On ‘7’ he brings the strength of these incredible vocal performances to the fore, while reimagining them for a new audience.

The punch of ‘Cloud Rider’s’ kick-drums are lifted to gospel like heights by D-Train’s powerful vocals, while Jefferson Airplane’s ‘Feed Your Head’ is arranged into a soaring techno symphony replete with a full string accompaniment. Luther Vandross’ ‘Never Too Much’ becomes ‘A Million Days’, which despite being stripped down, drips with summer warmth and anthemic choruses.
