Nina Revisited is an accompanying tribute album of contemporary artists covering Nina Simone classics in support of the film “What Happened, Miss Simone?” Produced by Grammy Award winning jazz musician Robert Glasper, key recordings include “My Baby Just Cares For Me,” “Put A Lil Sugar In My Bowl,” “Four Women” and more. Artists currently planned to participate in the release include Jazmine Sullivan, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Common, Grace and Miss Lauryn Hill. Grace, an Australian singer-song-writer signed to RCA Records, is the youngest artist to appear on the project with the cover “Love Me Or Leave Me”. Ms. Lauryn Hill appreciation of Nina Simone’s legacy inspired her to provide multiple covers for the project. What Happened, Miss Simone is produced by Netflix and RadicalMedia in association with Moxie Firecracker. The film is directed by Academy Award-nominated director Liz Garbus (The Far: Angola, USA, and Bobby Fischer Against The World).
