Second Full-Length Studio Album From Queens Of The Stone Age Bassist Michael Shuman's Side Project Mini Mansions!

'The Great Pretenders' is probably the only record you'll hear this year that features both Brian Wilson (on Any Emotions) and Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner (on Vertigo) as guests. Last month, Turner joined Mini Mansions on stage in London at their sold-out show at The Lexington to perform. The gig was the lead review in last week's NME, who gave it 9 out of 10, saying "the Arctic Monkeys frontman hasn't been on a stage this size for years, but even he can't overshadow a rampant Mini Mansions performance."

Mini Mansions were formed in 2009 by Zach Dawes (a multi-instrumentalist who has also worked with Kimbra and longtime mentor T Bone Burnett), drummer/multiinstrumentalist/ vocalist Michael Shuman (currently the bassist in Queens of the Stone Age), and vocalist/keyboardist Tyler Parkford (who releases music under his solo moniker Mister Goodnite). They released their self-titled debut album on Josh Homme's Rekords Rekords in 2010.
