Sundial' is the debut full-length album from new Tru Thoughts signing Jonny Faith. Drawing on a wide range of musical influences, Faith has crafted an individual style rooted in hip hop but overflowing with intricate percussion and lush, organic tones. The spritely energy emanating from the speakers is anchored by serious beats and deftly layered sonic ideas.

Originating from Edinburgh and now based in Melbourne, Faith honed his ear for rhythm and sound as a DJ and turntablist spinning hip hop, jungle, reggae and D&B across the UK and Australia. While dub sensibilities and production techniques continue to run through Faith's style, he was swept off his feet by the burgeoning hip hop future beats scene which became a driving force in his musical direction. Dedicating himself to exploring and illuminating the experimental beats sweeping the globe, he hosted both a pioneering radio show (on Sydney's 2SER.fm) and the leading Headroom club night, while cooking up his own productions.

In 2011 Faith took the instrumental hip hop tip in his own cosmic direction, and his 'Blue Sky on Mars' EP was released, with remixes from the likes of Ital Tek and Dizz1. On 'Sundial', the galactic inspirations of those early tracks now overlap with his wonderment at the intensely vivid light and nature that surrounds him in Australia, while a mystical, psychedelic flavour brings yet more depth and personality to the record.
