DOCTOR WHO's Tom Baker dons the deer-stalker as the world-famous detective Sherlock Holmes in this four part BBC television adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's popular story. When Sherlock Holmes receives a visit from Dr. James Mortimer and his concern over the mysterious death of his old friend Sir Charles Baskerville, Holmes and Dr. Watson start their investigation. Baskerville was a man haunted by the family legend of a supernatural hell-hound and now that Sir Henry Baskerville, heir to the estate, has arrived from Canada to take up residence in Baskerville Hall on Dartmour, Holmes is determined to ensure the same fate does not lie in wait.
