"From 1955-1962 some of Country music's most legendary artists were in their prime, recording some of the genre's most enduring numbers. Nashville became the centre of the Country music universe with Music City's musical output from that time altering the course of not just Country music but Pop and Rock too, in the process. The studios and their producers in Nashville combatted the emerging and rampant spectre of Rock 'n' Roll by using a crooner style vocal approach augmented with string sections and highly polished production values, the results being some of the most timeless classics. Just some of the artists featured over the 100 tracks are: Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Glen Campbell, George Jones and Slim Whitman. The 32 page booklet contains the fascinating story of this era when the musical landscape was changing by the day. There is no comparable collection in the marketplace.TRACK LISTING DISC ONE – FOUR WALLS: Eddy Arnold – Cattle Call / Marty Robbins – Singing The Blues / Bobby Helms – My Special Angel / Kitty Wells & Webb Pierce – Oh So Many Years / Sonny James – You’re The Reason I’m In Love / Sonny James – Young Love / Webb Pierce – It’s My Way Of Loving You / Bobby Helms – Fraulein / Marvin Rainwater – Gonna Find Me A Bluebird / The Browns – I Heard A Bluebird Sing / Marty Robbins – A White Sport Coat (And A Pink Carnation) / Jim Reeves – Four Walls / Jimmy C.
