An original idea to produce a CD of The Andre Kostelanetz Orchestra playing first some of the great waltz tunes by composers such as Franz Lehar, Emmrich Kalman, Oscar Strauss and Johan Strauss II and thenJuxtapose them with a selection of the Great Marches by the likes of John Phillip Sousa, George and Ira Gershwin. The problem of getting the feeling of a parade onto a disc was a challenge that fascinated maestro Kostelanetz. Fortunately recording techniques in the studio and hi-fi systems at home offered a wonderfully ingenious solution, he said. He added that parade music was music in motion - it was the only type of music that was supposed to move.Tracks include: "Sari" Waltz; Vienna City Of My Dreams; Gold And Silver Waltz; Two Heart In Three Quarter Time; Waltz Dream; "Gypsy Baron" Waltz; "Zigeunerliebe" Gypsy Love Waltz.
