Double Life Ep

Bob Evans is the charming alter-ego and solo project of Australian recording artist Kevin Mitchell, who also fronts alternative rock band Jebediah. With a sound that breaks away from the overarching acoustic and alt-country style of previous records, ‘Don’t Wanna Grow Up Anymore’ is the feature track on ‘The Double Life’ EP, and will be on the upcoming album.

Bob brought along the acclaimed Dean Reid (Marina And The Diamonds and Mystery Jets) for production on the EP and album. The new music showcases a progressive pop sound and an artist brimming with newfound inspiration. It follows on from the beloved ‘suburban’ trilogy; ‘Suburban Kid’, ‘ARIA-Award winning ‘Suburban Songbook’ and most recently, ‘Goodnight, Bull Creek!’ which earned the artist dual 2009 ARIA Award nominations for Best Male Artist and Best Adult Contemporary Album.
‘Suburban Songbook’ has achieved Gold status.

Since ‘Goodnight, Bull Creek!’, Kev has put ‘Bob’ aside to focus on Basements Birds and Jebediah. The EP is just the beginning of a new chapter in the book of Bob.
